24-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Region

A 24-year-old man died following a single-vehicle crash in the Capital Region.

The wreck happened in Schenectady, near the intersection of Eastern and Rankin avenues, at around 11:20 p.m. Monday, March 3.

Arriving officers found a car that had gone off the roadway and struck a tree, according to Schenectady Police. 

The driver, Roshan Balraj, of Schenectady, was pronounced dead at the scene, CBS 6 reports.

No other vehicles were involved and there were no additional reports of injuries. It was not immediately clear whether speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
